This was the slowest day I've ever had at a gun show. Sold a grand total of two guns and one of those belonged to a friend. I met a couple of MSGO members. I hope to meet some more of you tomorrow. I'm a little over half way down the first aisle and against the wall. I'll have my name tag on.

It was a pretty weak show, I made it through in about an hour and half, usually spend 3 - 4 hours. Course I barely looked at the guns, already bought a rifle this week so budget pretty limited. Did buy some powder and primers at a fair price, 100 rds. of M1 Carbine ammo, and a SAW can to carry it home in. An okay time, but not really worth $8 this time around.

When I go to a gun show, I'm looking for a deal. Most vendors are charging list plus for their merchandise.
Why should I pay $350 for a used Remington 700 at the show when I could get a new 700 at Academy for the same or lower? With the internet, I have too many options on where to spend my hard earned dollars, and get the most bang for my buck. And I have a lot of friends and co-workers that think the same.

I was afraid the show would do poorly. I had the grandkids yesterday, putting a water pump on today. I'm supposed to come down and help Bayou Blades break down. Hope to get back up and running and make it before closing time. Today was slower than yesterday but we still sold a fair amount of guns. I think we are the only vendor there that had something good to say about all of it. It was only our second show and we learned a lot that we can put towards the next one. We have reserved a six table endcap section at the Trademart show in December and we already have some ideas of how to improve our offerings.
