Shoe -

Watcha gonna use it for - cleaning and repairs/rework or as a benchrest at the range? It does make a difference in $$$.

I prefer a front rest and rear bag at the range - JMHO.

I bought a Tipton benchrest for the cleaning/repairs stuff and it was major league overkill as the cheaper $25 or so cheaper one at Bass Pro does all I'll ever need. Just take the sliding plastic covers off and toss them - they're a pain and just get in the way.

As far as a Lead Sled for the range, wouldn't have one. You lose all contact with your gun as the stock buts up against a rear stop on the sled and not your shoulder. I prefer to have a good feel for whatever I'm shooting is doing and the ls doesn't allow that.

Again - all is JMO - Merry Christmas -

Lead Sled is fine for sighting in...or testing reloads and you wanna get u out of the picture

Not a good practice to shoot off it regularly...U eventually gotta shoot your own gun....deal with the recoil...I just got through putting 40 dn range with the 300 Weatherby...No sled

Ive got a dremel branded rubber jaw hobby vise i find very useful for gun tinkering and cleaning. I guess they still make it, mine was bought at home depot on clearance for $10 a while back.

got a lead sled plus this morning! guess i'll be using my bass pro cards for some lead shot and a carrying bag or 2

the plus model is $130ish, which is worth it for the vertical adjustments and the added weight capacity to me

I like the lead sled for sighting in. I takes most of the shooter out of the picture and tests the equipment. If you can shoot tight little groups from the sled and are all over the paper without it. I ain't the fault of the gun or the scope.
