A friend has an 1870's twist 10 that he inherited from his father. It's been in the family for a couple generations at least. It's in rough shape (he says) and the stock is cracked. He asked that I try to find him someone who can repair the stock (rather than replace it) for cosmetic appearances only. He'll never shoot it; he wants to mount it on the wall.

Does ya'll have a 'smith or woodworker (with firearms experience) who you' recommend? Geographical boundaries are Bama-to Louisiana, east to west, within a Jackson-to-Biloxi limit.

Thank you.

Im no woodworker, but i have fairly extensive experience with various epoxies and the like. What part of the state are you in? I have found very few things i couldnt fix, and any repairs i would make would be stronger than the surrounding wood and would be safe for use.
