Ok, maybe I've become too comfortable with the trigicon 3 dot night sights.

I have looked at all the sight sets that have been talked about in the past few days and none of them look "right" to me anymore.

The two dot stacked sights, Sevigny series I think, just don't look right to me.

The Hieney front tritium, plain rear, don't look right to me.

The fiber optic 3 "dot" sets don't look right to me.

I'm lost, back to thinking about truglo or trigicon again. I do need true night shooting capability as it is going to be a duty/carry gun.

Help! I am open to trying something new, something for faster acquisition, better accruracy in quick shots.

Any feedback on those mentioned or other options is appreciated.

I have zero experience with the trijicons...but want to get a set for the xdm.

But I do have meprolights on my Kimber compact cdp, and I love them! Glow very bright at night and they're great during the day.

I've had Trijicons on my Glock 17 for about five years now. I like'em but they are gettin' a little old for me, too. I bought a Tru-Glo TFO set for my Glock 22 to test them out. I love'em, but there is a problem. They just sit up way too high! I can't seem to find a good holster for my 22 with those sights! They dig and cut into almost all the holsters I've tried to use and I don't wanna worry about the sight set getting messed up. If I could find a holster that would take these high sights, I would switch out my Trijicons for the Tru-Glo TGOs, period. They're bright. Day or night. To me, the Tru-Glo TGO sights are brighter than the Trijicon set I got. And I'm talkin' complete darkness. As far as daylight, my Trijicons suck! The white rings that were there are completely gone. Cleaned, repainted, gone again. The TGOs win for brightness in both day and night, but the Trijicons fit any holster without a single problem. So..I'm stuck with them, for now, on my pistol.

I know what you mean. I love my Trijicons for night use, but in the day the white outlines you just can't see them.

Guess I am going to have to put some kind of night sight on my Glock and see if I can see them better in daylight. The ones on my RIA I can barely see the front in daylight.

Thanks for the input guys.

I am caught between wanting new sights and going with what I know.

Some of the others I mentioned have great testimonials on their websites, but then they would wouldn't they.

I think for me I ever get a chance I will get the big dot XS sights.

I should of said my problem was I had laser surgery to my eyes and though it helped my eye sight for most everything I need reading glasses for up close.

You may have a better go with the trijicons , as they worked good for me up until then.

I've been using Trijicons for all my CCW front sights since about 1995. They were hands down the brightest and clearest outline front sights of about 4 different brands in the dark room. I paired those with the MMC adjustable rears for the longest time. I have since switched over to the XS Big Dot tritium front sights for my CCW pistol and a HD shotgun. This isn't meant for target practice but for in the dark and up close fast acquisition. I think that the best combo would be the XS Big Dot front and a MMC horizontal tritium bar adjustable. Spendier but ideal for me. BTW, the XS big dot does not wear off or melt.

I was pretty pleased with those we got on that Beratta group buy, don't know the brand. Didn't think to much of them in dim light at first glance but they were great in the dark.
Maybe one of the other buyers will know the brand.

When i ordered my XD Service i got the Heinie pro slant 8 with tritium inserts.. they work very well at night and low light. and are serrated so there is no glare in the day time.
I want a set for my XD SubCompact.

If I had to do it over again, i would get the Heinie's
