I know that a lot of people have been looking forward to these coming out. I believe that H&R/NEF had released a limited # of 200 of these last year to see how they were accepted. I have seen them popping up on Gunbroker so they must have felt it was worth a bigger run. Me I will just stick with the 45-70 still very happy with it.

Had a 45-70, wasn't to pleased with it,shot a couple deer and hogs and did not get a exit wound, several buddies have them and the same result, have been on some long blood trails, have shot 4 deer with a .35 whelen, one was at two hundred yards, thru both front shoulders and out the other side, 45-70 is good, .35 whelen is awesome, just my opinion.

it wasn't the 45-70,it was those Hornady bullets, there are some bad batches out there.
shot 4 deer with my 45-70,lost 2 and did a very poor job of dispatching the other 2,all with the Hornady bullet
switched over to the 300gr Winchester HP so far 5 for 5 DRT no tracking at all
