Patton

Patton was one of our greatest military leaders and I doubt if there will ever be another like him. I took my sons to the Patton Museum at Fort Knox, KY last month to show them around and try to teach them a little history. It's great place to visit if you're in the area.

If you plan your trip right (like you did) then the Patton museum is just right around the corner from the Knob Creek Machine gun shoot.

but, the stupid political leaders of the day wouldnt listen to him then and probably wouldnt todat either. they played with the lives of soldiers like it was a game, like they do now. just as long as it wasnt theirs on the line. BUT, when the chips we down, who pulled off the impossible? BIG :sf: to ole blood and guts!

I agree 100%. He would not have made it out of the lieutenant rank in today's army. I do wonder what he could do with the M1 Abrams tank? I bet it would be freaking awesome!
