One of my best friends nailed this one on his Heritage a few months back on HWY 305 between Independence and Cockrum. He was scraped up, but otherwise OK. The deer wasn't as lucky. When I went to get my buddies bike from the side of the road, I couldn't resist snapping this photo.

glad your buddy came out ok!!! scary stuff! seems like the damage is worse the slower you go sometimes.....i still would've thought a harley would've come out ok.....especially a softail....they're tanks

saw this video a couple years ago on a kawasaki forum. happens about 35 seconds in...nice slow motion later in the video towards the end i think.
