This is why, along with a couple of other things, that I haven't been able to make up my mind on an .308 AR variant. Armalite & DPMS use one mag, Bushmaster uses another and I think Rock River is different from those. The other thing that keeps me from making a firm decision is that you cannot mix and match lowers and uppers like you can on the AR-15 platform. If you think you will ever want a variety in uppers, DPMS is the way to go but I hear and read about more issues with feeding from DPMS. It's mostly mag related stuff and fixable. Armalite seems to have the best reoccurring quality but considerably less in terms of options. For me, it's going to require a lot of thought and lately I've been giving a lot of thought to saving my pennies and getting an FN SCAR Heavy!
