But, I really like my new bottomfeeder toy. Wasn't sure I was going to, but I was bound to buy a Glock 26 sooner or later, anyway. It was calling me.:) Can't explain why, but this thing fits me like a glove and I shoot better with it than any other handgun I've owned. I do need the mag extension for comfort, but beyond that, this thing feels like it was made for me. Couldn't try out the laser today, because it was too bright outside for me to see, but I was deadly with the open sights. I think the laser will serve me well inside my house, but I'll agree with others that it does have it's own place and time. I expected this gun to be fairly snappy, but it was very manageable with little noticable kick. Certainly no worse than my G19. I was gonna like this gun anyway, but it served me up a pleasant surprise and far exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the heck out of shooting it today and only wished I had brought more ammo. Thanks again Sid for an exceptional deal.:) You made this old fart very happy.

I tried hard not to be a Glock fanboy, but, by God, it's getting harder and harder.:D

Nothing "bottomfeeder" about the G26. It's my go to piece as well. I've owned a lot of handguns but I trust the little 26 more than any of them. Give it some time and it will grow on you even more.

I'd recommend adding extended slide and mag releases.

I had a 27 and really liked it. I got rid of it to get a 36. I really liked the idea that the 26/27 can use the 19/23 mags. I may have to get another 27.

Glad to hear the good reviews. I've shot the 26 at a police range and liked it but wasn't ready to go to a Glock. I've always been more comfortable with an exposed hammer on an automatic. However, I'm looking to pick up a 26 as soon as I find the right deal.
