The one I'm aware of is Gander Mountain. Not a huge selection, but they tend to have the most common stuff. I was in there about 3 weeks ago and they had lots of CCI primers in stock. Prices seem to be right around MSRP, but better than paying shipping and hazmat on a pound or two via the internet. HTH.

Gander and Waldo are the only 2 I know of close by as well. What primers are you looking for? I usually order 5k at a time so the shipping and such doesn't bite so hard. I'd be willing to sale you some at what they cost me if you're interested. When the gun show hits town I usually get some powder there. I have a friend that travels a good bit and hits the reloading places in different states, and he comes across some good buy a lot. Here again, if you're interested, I can see if he will pick something up for you.

Thanks all. I didn't realize the Gander Mtn still sold reloading components. I'll check Waldo's to since I travel through columbia fairly regularly.

Leopard, at the moment probably just small pistol primer. I plan on ordering large quantities of components to save on hazmat also after I get into the groove of it a bit. Thanks for the offer! I may take you up on that soon. Maybe a local group order might be a good idea too.

The more people that you can group together, the better. That's what I do.

I'll be living in Hattiesburg starting Monday. If you ever want to get together on and order some supplies, get in touch with me -- if I need anything at that point I'll be happy to combine the order and split the shipping and hazmat proportionally. We could probably get some other Hburg locals to go in with us on reloading and/or ammo.

BTW, there used to be a place called Randy's Sporting Goods out west of town just off 98. They moved and I think they're now at 5268 Old Hwy 11. Phone used to be 601-268-7164. Not sure if that's valid after the move or not...

He always seems to have a few tables at the Hattiesburg gun shows. He doesn't bring reloading supplies to the shows, but I'm pretty sure I remember him having a limited selection of bullets and powder in their old store (but don't quote me on that).

Also there is a Leaf River Sports in Petal. I don't know if they carry reloading stuff. They have a facebook page, and the phone is 601-582-9175. TomBomb goes there a lot. Tom, you remember if they have reloading stuff??

HTH.

Leaf river aint got squat. i was told they had a reloading section. i can almost see the place from the house.
Depending on what you want to load for, gander mtn has a fair selection, powder, primers and hunting rounds. not a lot of target loads.
any time i go to jackson i swing my vans in brandon and pickup what i want. now theres a reloading selection!

Waldo's is out of Varget and Reloder 7. I know this for a fact, as I bought the last they had on Monday.

:bigtu:

On the high side, their prices were only about 2/3 of what Gander Mountain wants. I bought enough powder to more than pay for my gas to get over there and back.

FYI - Randy's is on 98 west still, just further out. You go past Old Hwy 11, past Oak Grove and Randy's is on the south side of 98 in a strip mall. Don't remember seeing any reloading stuff last time I was there, but then I wasn't looking for any either.

Hey, any of you Hattiesburg area guys do USPSA or ICORE?

When I've gone in Gander Mountain, i've found it to be a joke. They have a decent selection, but it is high high high high high. Did I mention it was high and overpriced? I must say I did not price the powder, but after seeing the bullet prices I was GONE.
