hello

I am stationed on the Sea Bee base down in gulfport. I have had a large interest in firearms since I was young, however had parents that have always "not seen the point" in firearm ownership.

I am interested in both hunting and target/plinking however my current experience is limited to training and reading forums. My current arsenal (though it does not really qualify) is limited to a marlin 336 in 30/30. Sadly I have not even been able to shoot it yet due to a surgery and my difficultly finding an affordable place to take it. I am currently looking for the right deal on a wingmaster 12 ga and a 20 ga for my wife who I am trying to get to join my passion. She really likes the look of the Stoeger Condor outback in black/stainless.

I will be moving to the hill country in texas by the end of the year where I am looking forward to doing my first bit on hunting. The area is known as some of the best deer hunting in the country, so I cannot think of a better place to take my first. While down here I have really wanted to go "hog hunting" however not knowing many people and never having hunted before does make the process difficult.
