Help~! Need 2 boxes Federal 230 hardball FEDERAL(Walmart)

I borrowed a couple of boxes of 45 FED in the red/maroon box, and need to buy some to repay the loan...Walmart pulled all the 45's for some recall.
My local gunshop owner said Federal had dangeruos propellant problems in some lots so they recalled all of them. Is anybody on the coast stocking 230 grain Federal?

im pretty sure those federals are gonna be rare considering the recall

I was just in WMart to pick up a prescription - had to hurry to return to w*rk - couldn't FIND an employee to help me in Sporting Goods, but they had 3 boxes of Fed .45 in the case. It had been out due to recall. I will go back after w*rk today to see if they will indeed sell them to me. I know this won't help your situation but thought others would be interested since the stuff was recalled, sorry to take the thread off on a tangent...

Please lemme know (if you go back) if that is "new" inventory you saw, or they are still under recall and can't sell it. I am all the way down here on the coast but if your Wallyworld got some, maybe we'll get some here after all.

sorry to get back on this so late. They are now selling the Federal .45 ACP again. I know the guy who was w*rking last night in sporting goods in the McComb WMart. He said they had put a "pull and hold" (or some similar term) on the Federal ammo and it basically had sat in a back room until someone checked the lot numbers and saw that the boxes they had were not involved in the recall. Of course they could have just gone online weeks ago and checked the lot numbers against their inventory, but I guess that would have been too simple. Anyway, bottom line is they are selling it again. If your local WMart isn't selling and you want to push the issue, I suggest you print out the warning bulletin from Federal, it has the lot numbers- and bring it to the store. Speak to the dept. mgr. if they are there.
