Springs are designed for CYCLES not straight compression. Therefore, u can wear a mag out in a month if u load and unload it a few thousand times plus heat from running it in the gun. Loaded mags whether full or partially full doesn't matter is they are just stored.

AR_15, mil.spec.mag. Can you leave/store 20 rounds in a 30 round mag for extended periods of time without damage to the spring? How long?
