Question is.. Once you shoot them in the trap, do you HAVE to move the trap?
No, I've caught multiple hogs from the same location, just keep bait in the trap.
    Nice trap by the way.
Coil spring with a gas shock inside, haul a lot of weight on that bike between pigs, deer, and dove fields. Redneck engineering out of necessity.

Good observation, I didn't really notice it until your post. Deadhead doesn't really need lift assist but that that would be cool

Quite ingenious. I can see where it would fulfill the purpose very well and have had times such was needed on FIL's wheeler because he has an extended drop style rear basket.

Most of us older guys, especially those that hunt alone , start thinking about assist mechanisms before they are needed, "just in case" the deer is big and heavy. Usually drag the hogs. Been a zero year so far for hogs on my place, which is good in one way but bad in that they are there just sporadic episodes of passing through thankfully.

Thanks. I got a reel from a directional drilling company and modified it a bit. Made some salon doors and wrapped it in cattle panels.
Headed to re bait it now!!

I’d love to kill some pigs but I sure am glad we haven’t had any sign around our place.

Much like snakes those two sows in that condition fit my definition of a "good hog", dead.
