O.K. I shot in the local USPSA match today. G.O.D. started last month and a couple of yall from Mid State shot at Magnolia So I dove in! Went Friday and got a holster and double mag pouch and borrowed another pouch and 3 mags from G.O.D. and away I went. Considering I had never even seen a match and the compitition I think I did respectable. Overall placement was 29 out of 37 shooters. Dont remember how I did on each stage and cant find the results on-line yet. I got to shoot with the likes of Max Michell Sr. and Tom Dutchman. I shot production with my G-17. I had a blast and got to pick up on some time saving tricks in the process. And like everyone says "you can not miss fast enough to win" They're right! Anyway, seems like something I could get into. Need to get some more production shooters and some more single stackers. South Mississippi Gun Asscoitation has one every 3rd sunday. If you need more info get with G.O.D.

yeah Sig, I had fun just need more practice. Now you have been to a match, we can practice some drills we might need to work on most to build speed. Sig did very well IMO never doing any kind of organized shooting before. WTG.
I will go to USPSA and shoot the results to ya.

I'd like to get into something that doesn't require a 2500 race gun. My son is in his first three gun competition up at Ft. Campbell. Not much to talk about but my Daughter-in-Law is going to be in it too.
But get this, SHE'S DUE SEPT 9 with their first child. She weighs about 105 when not pregnant but she carries a Sig 45 and can hit with it. Wish I could get my wife to shoot like that.

Sid' I spent:
$50 holster
$25 double mag pouch
$25 100rnds of 9mm
$13 entry fee

I borrwed another mag pouch and 3 mags from G.O.D. and away I went.I used my stock G17. Only mods on the gun were a $2 extended mag release and some grip tape I had in the garage.

Ahhh...Production.

My CZ SP-01 Shadow with 6 mags and belt rig is less than $1500.00.

I really enjoy it more than I ever did Open or Limited.

Yup...

You gotta get up here and shoot at Magnolia, though. Production beats all other divisions almost every month. It's really taking off in central MS.

It's big in Amite, LA also.

Oh, yeah! That's a great place to shoot. They come up here, and we make the drive down there from time to time. Awsome bunch of folks.

I've shot ICORE / USPSA and Steel there. Ask to be in a squad with Elliot and Annette Aysen. They're on Team Smith & Wesson.

sid, you probably got the stuff already to go shoot, or there will always somebody to loan you what is needed. WE ARE SHOOTERS, another name for good people that help when needed.

Thibideaux is only about 1 1/2 or 2 hrs away whereas JKN is 3 to 3 1/2 away. They have a GSSF event as well.
