Should I get the Gen4 Glock 23 (great price with 3 mags) or wait and save up for a Kimber Crimson Carry?

I alraedy have a Gen3 Glock 22 so common ammo would be nice but then again its like the same gun almost, lol. I love the way the Kimber feels but damn $1K for a gun is alot.

Arg cant choose, lol

Which model crimson carry? My brother just got a Ultra crimson carry last week and it is sweeeeeeeeet. If you prefer a Glock then the Kimber will probably frustrate you, because the break in period is no myth, and unlike glocks it is picky with magazines. I have a Compact CDPII and I gotta say, best $1200 I ever spent!

They can have some extractor issues, and if tuning that is beyond your skill level, like me, then you can just call em up and as long as it's under warranty they'll ship it for you both ways.

The only problem I have with the Crimson Carry line is that they have those stupid black sights! So a trip to Kimber for some Meprolights would be in order for me!

I carry mine everyday, will resume that pattern when I get it back from birdsong, and trust it with my life now that the extractor issues have been sorted out, and I've had 1000~ trouble free rounds out of it.

Yeah its the ultra I believe with the black sites. I love glocks but I loved shooting my dads kimber pro raptor II as well. I just keep thinking I can get 2 glocks for the price of that kimber, lol. But I like the fact that the kimber has a safety and I think I would feel more comfortable carrying that once I get my CCL. Arg. I dunno, lol.

Is look at the Ultra TLE/LG models, either in black or stainless. That way it comes with the night sights and the laser grips. Just another option. But the faux rosewood CT on the crimson carry line are more attractive than the grips on the TLE/LG line.

It's only money! :lol3: Go with what you want. And what fits you and your needs. Kimbers are fine weapons. I just sold my KIMBER SS ULTRA CARRY II. $1K is hard to swallow and give up. Check out other brands. You might find something just as good. and a little less costly.

I own 3 Glocks and 1 Kimber.

I like my Glocks, but if something happened where I had to get rid of 3 of the 4 I wouldn't hesitate to drop the Glocks and keep the Kimber.

Glocks seem a little generic, but a Kimber is really something special.

JMHO.....

The Crimson Carry Ultra is my daily CCW and I love it . I don't think you will regret spending the money at all. I picked mine up at the Outfitter in Richland for $879.00 and have been very happy. Nothing like the punch of a .45 in a small package.
