I love 1911's!!!!!!!!

I have never mentioned them because they look big, I like the glock 19 too and some of the S&W, Taurus autos too but i am wondering if a woman like me with small hands could handle the 1911 since its full sized?

I will need to try one out also but just asking.

Anyone got any 1911 pics?

I love silver. Who make the cheapest ones that are of a good quality??

I just knew you were a 1911 fan!!!!

The great thing about 1911 is you can customize it to fit you. It has one of the smallest grips on an auto. Still need it smaller get some thin grip panels and a short trigger. Anybody get a 1911 to fit them with just a little custom work, then it's not just and ol'glock/xd/m&p. It's done just the way you like it.

Yes, they are sexy guns. I have never seen a sexy glock, XD, m&p auto.
They are just too blocky and just dont have sexy lines.
A 1911, on the other hand, is just plain sexy. Even a run-of-the-mill mil-spec basic model is sexy. The lines and contours, the profile and silhouette, just sexy. All the add-ons just make it a bit better.

Sexy guns you show your friends, "plastic" ones are what you carry and show the BG when it comes down to business.
It'll all in what you feel comfortable with in the end though.

My carry gun is a Colt Defender. Have put over 600 rds through it with no problems whatsoever.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and from the looks of it, the idea was for it to get some attention at a minimum.

I know what you mean, brother. This one took me a couple years with a file, a dremel, and some sandpaper. LOL

Ok, I will come clean. I just acquired the parts, drew the slide cuts out on paper, came up with a target weight for the slide, and a few talented gunsmiths took it from there, including Marc Morganti of www.geminicustoms.com (fluted guiderod), Paul Liebenberg of www.pistoldynamics.com (fluted barrel), and Derek Janowicz of www.mcguns.com (pretty much everything else). Seeing the Gemini gun earlier in the thread made me decide to post this one.

Besides, I figure if we are talking 1911's, we might as well include the "2011" too, right? The grip is only slightly larger than a 1911 and can be shaped and thinned if needed. For a doublestack, it's not bad. Not cheap though.
