Remgirl, I must have come to the same conclusion, because I seem to have reverted/converted to the darkside, myself. Two weeks ago, I owned just about everything, but a Glock. Now, I own 3, a 17, 19, and a 22. Only own one other gun and it's an older S&W that I think I'm ready to sell. I'll tell you exactly what appeals to me about Glocks that other guns can't match and it's probably not what you'd think. Oh, I am impressed with their reputation for reliability, but what I like the most is that I can buy replacement parts for them all over the net on the cheap. My 17 is an older model, but I refurbished it nicely for about $30. Additionally, it seems every supplier has upgrade parts and accessories for them. I can assure you that isn't the case with most guns. But, you are right, they do feel good in your hand while shooting, don't they?
Another plus is that, f you buy them right, you won't lose any money on them when you decide to sell/upgrade.
