There isn’t a better truck or boat gun made......once you find a place to hide it and wear in the mag spring.

If someone steals it......you’ve lost literally nothing.
LOL, we think alike.

EDIT: One thing I can say for Hi-Point; at least they sell for what plastic should sell for. When companies like RIA can sell an all steel 1911 for $500 how in the world can anyone justify plastic selling for $500? (like all the wonder nines do)
Hmm Hi-point isn't plastic more like some crappy pot metal. Don't know what kinda or grade steel RIA is But seems to be really good. Because most wonder nines are highly reliable don't rust and can take the environment a heck lot better than steel can. You know like people get synthetic stocks (which I bet you don't mind) to better handle the elements.
That said I owned a HP carbine and wouldn't hesitate to own another, Love RIA's owned about 5 in the past, owned synthetic stocked rifles and own a Glock and will own more even though they should be about $50 dollars cheaper to make me happy.:D

Question- would you choose it as a bug out gun? If in your vehicle it very well may just turn into it.
I personally wouldn't along with a Taurus auto.
LOL, I've owned a Taurus auto PT740 naray a problem out of it. Owned more than a few Taurus revovlers naray a problem out of them either. Never owned a HP pistol but did own a HP carbine and it was as dependable as any other firearm I have owned. Brass or steel it just continued to eat no problem. So i'm speaking from my limited experience with shooting said two black horses of the firearm industry. But I'd rely on them in a pinch.

LOL, yeah I keep saying I'm going to put together a GHB (Get Home Bag) to put in the Buick in case crap hits the fan while I am at work or otherwise in La somewhere. But as usual I keep procrastinating and haven't yet. I don't plan on bugging out if at all possible. I plan to hunker down. But there is a good well 50% chance I want be home and that it might take me a couple weeks to hoof it home. And that is why I have thought about a folding bike to put in the trunk also.
