I have owned Hi-Point and would own another. Hi-Points are too heavy for most people, but will shoot all day every day.

Amen to that!!
I have 2 High-Points, one in the car and one bedside. If something happens and I need to use it, I know it will go bang. And if the LEO takes it, I haven't lost a very expensive treasure! Also, I actually enjoy taking it to the range. It is fun to shoot and accurate.

EDIT: One thing I can say for Hi-Point; at least they sell for what plastic should sell for. When companies like RIA can sell an all steel 1911 for $500 how in the world can anyone justify plastic selling for $500? (like all the wonder nines do)
Hmm Hi-point isn't plastic more like some crappy pot metal. Don't know what kinda or grade steel RIA is But seems to be really good. Because most wonder nines are highly reliable don't rust and can take the environment a heck lot better than steel can. You know like people get synthetic stocks (which I bet you don't mind) to better handle the elements.
That said I owned a HP carbine and wouldn't hesitate to own another, Love RIA's owned about 5 in the past, owned synthetic stocked rifles and own a Glock and will own more even though they should be about $50 dollars cheaper to make me happy.:D

Optics.......it’s all about the optics lol.

I bet money the nine mm out of it would hurt just as bad.
As far as those poopoo’n the Taurus pistols......stand in front of my judge and let’s talk about functionality.

Only reason I got rid of my 45acp 24/7 was because I wanted a 1911 and was poor-er than usual. Also still have a G2 in 9mm that lives in my wife’s 4Runner. I wouldn’t hesitate to defend myself with it.

I’d love for all you purists gun snobs to start posting about the other gun manufactures screws ups some times. Seem you all focus on this one manufacture way too much. Also some seem to be absolutely full of crap as well. If I had as many firearms fail on me as some of you,I’d have to re-evaluate my handling practices.

I keep one in my tackle bag to dispatch sharks and other fish that like to destroy the inside of your boat when landed. If I lose it overboard I'll just mark it on the GPS and never fish that spot again. So I don't accidentally snag it!
I have lost a 10/22 & a Walther p22 overboard. And in 86' of water I can't hold my breath long enough to reach bottom to find them!

Question- would you choose it as a bug out gun? If in your vehicle it very well may just turn into it.
I personally wouldn't along with a Taurus auto.

No doubt in my mind on what my bugout pistol would be.. my glock 22 with the original and the 9mm conversion barrel. It can be duplicated for about $425 if you buy one of the $299 trade ins and the base model lone wolf barrel.

LOL, I've owned a Taurus auto PT740 naray a problem out of it. Owned more than a few Taurus revovlers naray a problem out of them either. Never owned a HP pistol but did own a HP carbine and it was as dependable as any other firearm I have owned. Brass or steel it just continued to eat no problem. So i'm speaking from my limited experience with shooting said two black horses of the firearm industry. But I'd rely on them in a pinch.

I absolutely dislike the the whole “bug out” thing. I wholeheartedly believe that if anything happens around anyone they won’t be where they thought they would be. Unless you have some ruck sack packed and on your person at all time then it probably won’t be got to or used anyhow because the likelihood of you being close is slim to none.
To answer that question tho......it’s probably going to be 10.5” 5.56 pistol and a 357 EEA Windicator revolver

LOL, yeah I keep saying I'm going to put together a GHB (Get Home Bag) to put in the Buick in case crap hits the fan while I am at work or otherwise in La somewhere. But as usual I keep procrastinating and haven't yet. I don't plan on bugging out if at all possible. I plan to hunker down. But there is a good well 50% chance I want be home and that it might take me a couple weeks to hoof it home. And that is why I have thought about a folding bike to put in the trunk also.

I'm a little late to the game here, but after consulting a couple of experts (my 13 and 17 yr old nieces), yeet is a term used by youngsters before throwing an object. I believe it started in basketball and was popularized by a viral video. "And knowing is half the battle"
