Ruger made the 10/22 with a syn. stock that everyone calls the "boat paddle" stock, they made it for a just a few years, don't know if they are considered collectors items though.

Ugly as homemade sin...I would not pay a nickel extra for that stock..all it is is a different mould they used for a while....

Most likely over time you'll find you'll want another stock on the Ruger if you decide you wanna "customize" it. Ruger 10/22 is probably the most customizable rifle on the planet

Ruger put that style stock on the 10/22,77/22 and the M77 rifles. It came in olive drab too. I have heard the 10/22 was a Walmart exclusive, but don't know for sure.

I have never seen a Ruger scope. That style stock was not pretty but they are very handy in the field. If I want pretty, I choose either a Laminated stock or Walnut. That stock saved me from damaging my 308 one time. I have nerve damage in my hands and one time I was hunting in a ladder stand. For some reason my gun slipped. I caught the buttstock with my right hand just before it was a second away from going airborn straight down. If it had been any of my other guns, I would not have been able to stop it. My fingers caught in the indention on the rear of the buttstock. Thankfully, I now have my neuropathy under control most of the time. The black synthetic Hogue regular stock replaced that stocks place I believe.

I'm like DEADEYE1, never seen a Ruger scope, must be made by someone else with the Ruger brand on it. That's getting more common these days. It's like Forest Gump said "It's like a box of chocolates you never know what you gonna git."

I seen scopes with Ruger on them, along with Remington,Winchester,Browning,Sig, and others. They just put their logo on somebody elses scope and sell them.

Up to a year or two ago, Sportsmans Guide was selling Winchester scopes that said they were made by Weaver. At one time ATK owned Weaver, Tasco, and Simmons. That is probably who made the scope. Also after Ruger discontinued that style stock on centerfire rifles, they still offered it in a 22 and I believe a 44 magnum bolt action for a couple more years. I usually try to get one of the yearly catalogs that they distribute to their dealers from one of the local dealers . I think about putting a laminated stock on my 308 every year because I think they look so good but my 308 shoots so good that I am afraid of hurting my accuracy and afraid of changing my good luck hunting with it. In short those stocks function fine but they don,t add anything to the value of the gun in my opinion.
