When I was a little boy my grandmother told me to never say never. I should have listened. I recently purchased a Ruger American.22 LR. I mounted a Bushnell 3.5-10x rimfire scope. It is one of the most accurate .22’s I’ve ever had! I still don’t like plastic except on a AR but I like this one. Now I’m reconsidering the Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoor I saw the other day.

That’s the gun we use to take out the small critters at night. Suppressed with subsonics, it’s real quiet and deadly.

I have seen the Ruger American Rimfire with a wood stock, do they offer the center fire with a wood stock?

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen one or two, but they were likely distributor specials. Ruger does a lot of them. Or aftermarket.

There are none currently listed on their site that I can find.

Ha. Never say never . . . I have a Savage Mark II with a plastic stock. It's incredibly accurate. Yes, I'd love to have a wood stock, but this thing cost less than $140, so I'm not complaining.
