I'm thinking about trying to trade a SKS for an AK47. Think anyone would take the deal, or would it be a waste of my time? I see on gunbroker some of the ak's go for the same price as an sks...

Very possible if you're willing to part with some cash, also. Alot of it depends on the condition and manufacturer.

I traded an SKS for an AK several years back -- as stated above, depending on make and condition --- for BOTH guns! If an AK is waht you want, go for it. Also, you can sale the SKS and purchase the AK .. not everyone who wants an SKS has an AK for trade!!

That's probably your best bet; sell then buy.

I would say sell them, then buy but you never know unless you put it up for trade and give it a week or two.

I 'm starting to think about trading one of my AK-74's and getting a AK-47 to replace it.

You may have not read the fine print but all guns sold by members of this forum must be offered on the forum before any other. Think it's chapter 12, subsection 9B but I could be wrong.
