Since we passed our permitless carry into law. I'm wondering how it's going so far in the big cities (Jackson, Southhaven, etc.). Haven't heard of any wild west shootouts as predicted by some. ;)

Anyone got any stats, or even general observations, regarding street crime, police attitudes, etc. since the change?

Haven't noticed a thing. Law abiding folks remain so. Thugs remain thugs.

I haven't noticed any difference in the Jackson area. Just the normal nightly shootings. I'm still waiting for the highnoon shootouts in the streets to begin.

Only street shoot out I've seen was on "VERA CRUZ" last night with Gary Cooper & Bert Lancaster (oh. Lancaster lost :badass:.

Have had a permit since they became available, got it for the convenience of not going through NICS checks. Have IC since it was available and carry everywhere. Had to get somebody out of jail a month or so ago in Rankin County. Walked around jailhouse with a .40 on my side for over an hour before I remembered I had it on. Concealed means concealed.

For all the leftist talk of returning to the “Wild West”, I was thinking...maybe if we restored the legality of dueling to settle differences we would have a LOT less “offended” people!
