Jackson Gun Show This Weekend

Unfortunately unless they sell furniture there I won’t be stopping by. Wife is expecting a living room full of new furniture before Christmas so all gun purchases will be suspended till further notice. Exceptions can be made in case of emergency though so y’all keep posting to the classifieds.

This is a bean show (great southern) so you can get your jewelry, flea market items and such there. Years ago I saw a manifold on a table for sale at a bean show. And you can count on the entry fee being more than every other promoter too.

I'll be going to just out of the house with zero expectations of finding anything...Even with a high entry fee, still cheaper than going to an auction in Brandon I'll get talked into it a stay home.

I cooked chili Friday. So good I ate three bowls.

Think I'm gonna go, nothing else to do until tonight. Might as well try to find some decent jerky for stocking stuffers.

Think its time for me to swear off Great Southern shows. This one just flat out sucked. I usually go to these shows just for something to do for an hour or two. Got through this show in 30 minutes.

Maybe I'm just silly or something but I've always thought that gun shows were for gun aficionados. People that enjoy guns and are fairly knowledgeable. This show; more than any other in the area proves nothing could be further from the truth. From what I can tell this show is mostly about selling to thugs. Bunches of cheap guns marked at retail or better (more). If I wanted to pay retail I can go to any shop and buy out of the gun case. I go to shows looking for something different and selling for "realistic" prices.

Maybe I'm just having a bad day; I don't know, but I'm really sick of the Great Southern shows. I think I'm done with them. Worst $9 I ever spent

I haven’t been to any of the great southern shows in a couple of years. They are not worth the entrance fee.

When I’m at a gun show I am always hoping to find something like a nice old s&w or colt or even a ruger revolver. Not necessarily a collector but a well worn but not worn out gun. Don’t see that often. Just box after box of the latest and greatest brand new stuff or a bunch of gold plated pythons for 3500$.

Still need to go back to a Wanemachers gun show in my home town of Tulsa...now that's a gun show.

Yes Ed I have 4 guns going there next year! My friend always has a table there!
