Why should STATE tax dollars be used for Jacktowns problems.

Article says it's news to Governor.
I personally think it might be a good thing, before it gets too late.
I don't like even riding thru there on the Interstate.

I say let Jackson take care of itself, and move the capital if necessary. Doesn't look like this legislation will go anywhere though.

Prepare for Stokes to steel your inventory unless you give him his cut up front.

Are you freaking kidding me? Jackson's condition is the result of the will of its residents. They wanted this crap. They should be forced to live with their mistakes. I don't care if it starts looking like Somalia.

For years now a relative of mine has said that the state should have
made the Jackson cesspool into a ward of the state but what would we
    do with Kenny Boy?

I agree. We should just build a wall around it or put up toll gates to get out.

But, see, the Legislators do not have the option of staying out of that cesspool. They HAVE to go into Jackson occasionally to vote on stuff.

A better solution (and one that I advocated recently in another thread) is that we move the state capital somewhere else. It was done during the War of Northern Aggression.

I'm 100% on board with this. I'd love the see our state capitol in a city that wasn't an embarrassment to the rest of us.

Only issue is that big cities are like a magnet

Anywhere you move it the trash will be right behind. Nobody wants those problems in their city.

There's a simple solution. Move the capital and don't built any new Section 8 housing for 50 mile radius around it. Heck, I'd live there.

Part of the trash I was talking about works part time in the Capitol.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe move the capital to Ship Island.

The size of the island would prevent any Section 8 housing, and the occasional hurricane would clean house so we could start over every 20 years or so.
