We are still on for the .22RF F-Class Shoot at Magnolia next Saturday (1/29/11). Looks like we will have 25 28 participants. Due to the number of participants, we need to get started early (Oh, how I hate that!!) A shooter’s briefing will be conducted at 8:15am with the first firing order on the firing line at 8:30am.

We are in need of target stands – at least 15, if available. If you have one or two or three, please bring them. Also, I would like to have the target stands set up prior to the Shooter’s Meeting if at all possible. For those of you who reside close to Magnolia, I would appreciate some of you arriving “early” to help with the initial set-up.

See you Saturday!! If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call or post your question here.

What size are the targets? I have two stands (one I'm building today) that could possibly have 4 targets put on them if the targets are not large. We could use the highpower stands too, if need arises. I will be there to help with setup.

Targets are standard printing paper size -- 8.5 X 11 inches.

Are we still going to put 6 targets on each stand to speed up the relays...........?

.
Yea -- IF we can do it ... will all depend on what type target stands show-up ... would like 4 targets to a stand -- 2 vertical with another under each. The stands to not have to be very wide to accommodate 2 targets vertically and 2 horizontally

Additional Information regarding out 22RF Shoot on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club ...

Looks like we are going to have a wide variety of rifles, optics, along with some special request that I would like to accommodate. With this in mind, I would like to make a few suggestions in order to make your outing more productive and fun.

We will ALL be shooting at 100yrds. I know that several of you will be shooting optics of 12X or less and several shooters have requested the use of iron sights. Chances are you will not be able to see your shots on target. I would suggest that you bring a spotting scope to help you with this issue. For those shooting 12X or lower magnification or iron sights, you will be provided a different target with slightly larger scoring rings.

EVERYONE needs to bring a writing pen and something sturdy to write on. You will be scoring targets and completing the scoring sheets.

Also, everyone will need a chamber flag of some sort so we can visually see that all rifles are in a safe condition after firing has ceased. (Note: A piece of weed eater string is ideal for this purpose)

We are expecting some rain over the next couple days and the range we are using will produce some mud downrange where the target stands will be located! Rubber boots may be in order ... plan accordingly!
