I have been looking at building my first AR with a Plum Crazy lower and one of JSE's 350$ uppers. I was wondering if anyone has experience with them, and if they are reliable and reasonably accurate? The AR will be used primarily as a plinker, coyote killer, and SHTF gun. The upper i am looking at is the flatop with the 1 in 7 twist and wonder how it will shoot the lighter bullets, they have a 1 in 9 version for the same price but it has the front sight ramp instead of the single rail gas block. Can anyone offer any good advice or educated opinions

I've been to his shop in Cape G. A store full of AR stuff and he builds AR's all day. Nice guy. I bet if you give him a call, he'd build what you want or change site blocks.

I haven't fired one of his uppers, but I am thinking about getting one of his 7" pistol uppers.

The 1/7 twist should handle 55gr fine for plinking and give you better accuracy with heavier projectiles.

Thanks for the help I think i will give him a call to see if he will put a 1 in 9 twist on the flat top upper. Trying to find a plum crazy upper instock is proving to be more difficult than I originally thought, may have to get in on the group buy at the end of the month.
