I've considered buying police trade-ins before, but have always talked myself out of it. Not this time! CDNN ran an email flyer last week advertising HK USP 9mm's with night sites for $430. It seemed like a stupid good deal so I jumped in.

I talked to the guy who answered the phone at CDNN and he said they were in very good condition. I once owned a compact USP in 40 and they're built like tanks, so I think any wear on the pistol will be minimal and relegated to finish wear. Let's hope so! It should be at my dealer to pick up on Tuesday.

Months later I found my camera!

The safety markings are a bit worn and yellowed and the frame shows some scuffs, but the internals are pristine.

I purchased a factory threaded barrel for my 9mm Liberty Mystic suppressor. It's very quiet when using my 147 gr. handloads, but there's a lot of annoying blowback when using 115 gr. WWB with the can attached.

Nice choice! Police trade ins are tough to beat, most have holster wear and such, but are fired very little. Sold a bunch of the revolvers when I had my FFL years ago...customers loved em'. Wish I had kept about half of the S&W prelocks though...bringing good cash nowadays.

I imagine it was a police trade in, a Sig CPO 229. Bought it from a former member, Ol Stumpy. Hadn't seen him post in a long while.
Anyway, great pistol at a great price. Couldn't tell from a new one just like that HK. You did well Bitwise.
