Just saw a very nice Springfield Garand in H-burg... at Brian's Pawn and Gun on Lincoln Rd. It is all Springfield except trigger guard, and was supposedly a soldier's gun brought home from action....

The dealer has more details, I'm just passing the word. If you call or buy it, tell them Tom sent ya..... I do a lot of business with them.... 601-264-9501

(BTW, yes I asked permission from Brian before posting this)

Just a word of caution - unless there is some providence to show that it was a "bring back" -- they are EXTREMELY RARE!! -- do not even consider that in the purchase price. It is fairly easy to make a Garand correct just be swapping parts depending on the serial number range and some other criteria. Garand and M1 Carbine enthusiast do it every day ..... It is almost impossible to determine if a Garand is all "original" from the factory. Accordingly, collectors, etc., give little consideration to claims that a rifle is in its "original" state with some providence ... Of course Springfield made more than any other manufacture ....
