Kel Tec Sub-2000

I had a few request for info on my Kel Tec Sub-2000 that was in my "Don't Tread On Me" Background.

So here's the skinny:

I bought this gun about 8 months ago, just before my son was born. I paid $279 plus tax at Cook's Guns in Biloxi.

Mine is the 9mm model configured for Glock 19 magazines (Although any Glock 9mm magazine will work, as will the cheaper Asian Glock magazines). The 9mm SUB-2000 can be configured in the following magazine types: G17, G19, S&W59, BERETTA 92, SIG 226.

The .40 SUB-2000 can be configured in the following magazine types: G22, G23, BERETTA 96, S&W 4006, SIG 226.

Now you'll see what I really like about this rifle, pictured with my Glock 19:

Sub-2000
Two 33rd Glock mags
Seven 17rd Glock mags
Total of 185rds of 124gr Speer Gold Dot +P

Can fit here, in my old laptop case:

It folds in half in about a second. It takes just another second to unfold it & lock it into position. This gun shoots very good & I can acquire my targets very fast. It has eaten everything from Speer Gold Dot +P to steel cased Wolf ammo without a hiccup. Big Plus in my book, it uses the Glock 9mm mags I already own.The unusual cheek weld takes a little getting used to but not uncomfortable. I added an internal recoil buffer & bolt tube cover from Tacticool products to help with the snappy recoil. I plan on adding a single point sling, folding forward grip & a Primary Arms red dot eventually.

I also think it would make a great backpack gun for camping, truck gun or anywhere you would want the accuracy of a carbine in a discreet, concealable package.

Re: Kel Tec Sub-2000

How accurate are these rifles? I have heard from a couple of people that have owned one that after about 25 yard the pattern is all over the place

By the way nice little set up you got there.

They are very accurate, I easily hit empty shotgun shells at 40 yards. I regularly shoot golfballs at about the same distance. Though they tend to disappear quickly if you get direct hits.
Your welcome to shoot mine any time. I was going to try to go to the range today but something came up. Possibly tomorrow.
