Come on ...U gotta be kidding....U can buy H&R Handi's for about the price of a used Jeep mudgrip...get out there and fling some lead!
Go ahead and get you an Encore Prohunter...that way you can just change out the barrels...The wife thinks you only got one rifle then :rotflmao:

just my opinion for what it's worth but i'd much rather have the .444. went in the gun shop last yr to buy a .44 b/c of recoil and my size and was told that the .444 is a much better deer rifle. dont know the details but mr don has a masters in ballistics so i try to listen to him lol! never told me wrong b4!

You are absolutely right, the 444 is a far better rifle for deer at longer ranges than the 44. And I am not knocking the 444. I'm a huge fan of that round. But the longest shot I typically have on deer is about 75 yards so I don't see the need in having a 444 when the 44 will do the job just fine at that range. Ammo is way cheaper and recoil is much less. Its like the 35 whelen. MUCH better than even the 444 but I don't need something that hits that hard. Now if I could find a handi rifle in 35 remington, I'd be all over it. That would be JUST the ticket for me, but as far as I am aware they don't make em.

then i understand 100%! if i didnt have a couple places that i may need to shoot 150-200 yrds i wouldnt be taking the kick of the .444
