Is anyone making the trek to Kentucky this year for the Machine Gun Shoot? I think Jay and I will be making the trip.

Went to Knob Creek when son was in boot camp for calvary scout. Highly recommend it and while you are in the area, go down to the Patton Tank Museum and see Ft. Knox, only about 5 - 10 miles down the road. More variety of tanks at the Museum than you'll see anywhere, including a Super Tiger. Long drive but worth it. I'd go if I had not been already.

Rumor has it they have moved a bunch of the tanks out. I will verify that in October.

Im a "Friend of Patton Museum". Have been since 80. Actually worked there on detail while I was in OSUT cleaning out a Japanese Tank. The armor center is moving to Ft. Benning but Patton Museum and all displays will remain at Ft. Knox. Want to see a BIG Tank, Artillery and weapons museum? Go to Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Never been but would love to go. I'm not expecting to get to make it there any time soon though. My uncle worked on Tanks when he served in the military. I still remember when he came home from Germany for good and we met his plane. I was only about 3 or 4 but will always remember that day.

Those are the dates, but sunday is just a travel day nothing really happens on the range that day. I sent you a PM We are going to try to spend some time making some contacts and getting set up as dealers with some of the vendors so we may go up Thursday, but we usually leave Friday and come back on Sunday.
