First, there are several different formulations of Kydex. Each designed for different uses. Most all Kydex is produced by Sekisui Corporation, and you can find the various formulations here - Homepage - SEKISUI SPI . Which one is most commonly used for holsters I don't know, but I suspect it's one of the less expensive ones.
Generally speaking, Kydex (all formulations) is rated "limited" for resistance to UV, which will degrade it's mechanical stability - in other words it gets weaker with exposure to UV (sunlight). See this: https://www.eplastics.com/ePlastics_material_selection_guide.pdf
The above sites also provide more extensive information about the product.
