So I was performing my sacred Wednesday ritual of watching Midway USA's Wednesday Night at the Range on the Outdoor Channel, and part of it is always the rating he gives to handguns based on certain criteria.
As I recall, it's time to get the first round on target (paper plate at howevermanyyardsitis), then how long it takes after that to get 3 more rounds on target, and finally the "knock-down" factor of the round in question.
Anyhow, this week it was the Kimber Ultra Carry II in .45 ACP, a firearm I recently sought out and bought for the express purposes of having a lightweight, thin, and concealable gun I'd be willing to carry every day.
Out of 1000 possible points, the UCII took 960 points. Pretty good scoring for an antiquated round out of an inadequate gun, but then again, what does Potterfield know about diddly?
