We will have the last CMP M-1 Garand Match for 2010 this coming Saturday at Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club. The match will start at 9:00 a.m. and please make sure to arrive by 8:30 or 8:45 to fill out scorecards and get equipment set up on the firing line. We will have ammo for sale for match use only. $15.00 for 60 rounds of .30-06, .308, .223, or .30 Carbine will be available. The match fee is $10.00. Come on and and join us. I'm trying to talk a friend into coming, I just sent him the affidavit. He has an AR-15A2 NM Colt (nice) but only has the 5 round mag that came with it. Can anyone bring an extra he can borrow?

Also does the club sell .223 or should he bring his own?

I have some 30 round mags that he can borrow (these are the only ones I have for my ARs) and the club has some .223 ammo for sale for match use so he doesn't have to "burn up" his personal ammo. $15.00 for 60 rounds like the .30-06.

There should be enough people for 2 relays, so I might try my other AK-47 in relay 2............. Garand in relay 1 for sure.

The weather is going to be cool (low 60s). GREAT shooting weather.....

And don't forget "Uncle Ralph" on the grill..... Good eats ! ! !

OK all you "HP Shooter Wannabes", here is your LAST chance this year to come out and shoot. Guns and ammo will be available for you to use if you don't own what is allowed. Someone is welcome to shoot my Garand in relay 2. 60rds of ammo is $15 and the match fee is $10. I will bring my AR-15 A2 20" if you want to use it. Just post here and let me know......

Remember.... it is going to be a long Winter to be thinking... "CRAP, I should have shot the last HP match".

I think that we should go ahead and run two relays and let people shoot again with a different weapon if they want. It will definitely be a perfect day for shooting. I hope that the J & G Brothers bring their full autos. I love hearing those throw lead downrange :mg: .

I have not pulled a trigger on a Garand in several years...its gonna be butt ugly...I'd bring the 1903-A3 but I aint sure where it is right now :idk:

Yes, an AR Carbine with iron sights is allowed. Don't worry about embarrassment, just shoot to HAVE FUN....
