just an fyi... i know some people who are pretty close to the guy who is in charge. its actually mitchell3006 from above. This gun show is one of better ones i have been to. it is not overly crowded. lots of firearms. a few knives usually. One of the best shows i have seen.

It is a show worth checking out.

I will be there, I have a winchester 1400 like new, winchester 1300 home defense like new, selling for others benelli nova 3 1/2 12 ga pump, taurus 24/7 tactical in box 9mm with 2 17 round mags. I really like doing this show, but it is close to home also. And David that puts on the show is a good guy, Yes you will see most of the same thing at other show, but why I go is, He put signs out in all kind of small towns and people who make not normally come, come and you never know what their dad or granddad may have left them and the bring it. May not can buy it but it is nice to see differnet things.

I ended up going Sunday to meet up with a buddy from Poplarville.

Got a good deal from a private seller on a Chas. Daly 1911 (same as those being brought in from the Philippines nowadays under other names - Rock Island, Citadel, etc.)

I don't know the exact name and model number of it, but it's one of the higher end ones. Satin blued slide, alloy frame, extended slide stop, extended ambi safeties, ext. beavertail, Novak-style sights, two Mec-Gar mags, and an Uncle Mike's nylon holster for $350. Probably about 98-99% condition. Almost identical "Citadel" model nowadays sells for about $500.

Got some other good deals right at closing on some random stuff. Bought a big pile of work gloves for $20. About two dozen pairs of Wells Lamont leather work gloves and about 3 dozen or more pairs of Hob-Nobs. Got one 10mm die and another as yet unidentified rifle die, both for $5. Got an old Sprinco heavy recoil spring and guide rod for Glock model 20 or 21 for $5.

I made a pretty good haul.

:)
