I have had problems with Federal Lake City overrun ammo. The ammo I got had mixed headstamps. This means different lots of primers. I sorted out the ammo and it shot fairly well but that to me is a lot of trouble. The unsorted ammo would do no better than 4" at 100 yards with my AR15A2NM rifle. Also, NEVER fire a heavy bulleted NATO cartridge from a Commercial .223 Remington chamber. You can wind up with a bolt in your teeth.

I've had good luck with mine. Only got it from palmetto state armory though. But like Doug said, 4" groups is what you are looking at, it's good for plinking but about as accurate as throwing the round down range with your hand lol.

I love to shoot with it no doubt. And keep some for SHTF, the m855 really isn't that bad. But like i said don't go out shooting groups with it. It's a steel penetrator round FMJ's arent the best for accuracy, buy BTHP for that. IT's military surplus so it's about what you would expect it to be.
