I have a couple of the Lee case trim guides that come with a shell holder. Does anyone know if that shell holder is the same shell holder that you buy for normal die operations? If it is, then it saves me from buying a new shell holder for a new caliber.

Don’t know if they are the same, but I use normal shell holder with my trimmer. Works fine.

You'll need a shell holder and case length gauge for each caliber.

I got the answer I was looking for on another forum. Lee has 3 different types of shell holders and they DON'T interchange. You need one shell holder for the press. A different shell holder (that is threaded) is needed for each trim gauge. Then, you need a 3rd shell holder that is proprietary to the Lee Auto Prime hand primer. Mr. Lee has a serious shell holder fetish.

Yeah but they are all very affordable compared to other brands....I got a slew of the Lee stuff and really like it. Check out fleabay for some used ones.
