Legal Calibers in Mississippi

Is .223 legal to deer hunt with? I have read that .22 caliber was not allowed, but someone told me that .223 was allowed. The .22 caliber referred to the rimfires.

If you keep it under 100 yards everythings cool as the .223 has enough foot pounds. From what I hear if you keep it over 1000 you can make a clean kill with the right shot placement. The .223 loses that right after 100 yds.
Both of which I would keep under a 100 yards with Remington ammo. I did go look at the websight and the .223 has the .35 at 200 but not the 30-30.
