200 grains at 3200+? Is that enough for whitetail? :rotflmao:
I don't think you will have any trouble following the blood trail.

I won't have to, it will be DRT (dead right there) I like to use my hot rifles on gas lines here in Mississippi so that when I take a long shot the deer does not go anywhere. The state law is even if my first shot would be the obvious killer and my deer goes a ways and someone else shoots it in the leg or hip making the last shot on the deer before it dies, it belongs to the person who made the last shot. I hunt a lot of public land and want my deer on the ground right where it stands. The 338Win mag and this 340Wby do less meat damage on a deer than a 270Win with a 130gr ballistic tip. It would surprise you how little. I killed two buck and doe this season and not much meat damage at all.

it breaks their neck when that freight train hits them. I use to use a 338WinMag until I sold it. I used 210 Nosler Partitions or 230 Failsafe. Had some Barnes X bullets that I liked as well. Roll them up where they stand and no tracking needed.

Yes, I use the 210gr Partition in the 338Win Mag and it does roll them up where they stand.

All bullets and bullet weights achieved the velocities recorded and the accuracy posted, using IMR7828, Weatherby brass, Rem 9 1/2M primers.

Powders tried, H4831, H4350, IMR4350, H380, RL-25 and RL-22

If you don't hit a rib :rotflmao:
The SST has an operating velocity of 2000fps to 3300fps. I have used them in the 338Win mag and they have hit ribs in hog and deer and every time exited. They are perfect for the size game I will use them on in my 340wby and they will exit every time. I have also used them in my 300wby and they have never failed and some of those were through the shoulder. Of course this is not theory but in the field experience with this bullet. That is why I chose this bullet for medium and small big game.

I wouldn't mind trying a .338 Win Mag, but that is as big as I am willing to go!
.338 win mag is the cat meow. I like the 300 as well though. Ill bring my 338 to the meet n greet if you want to drop the hammer on it.
I probably won't make the Meet & Greet. I hope to make one sometime, but now is not a good time! We have alot of OT at work right now and we just bought a house, so I am very busy!
