I dont know if I posted in the approriate thread but I was plannign on doing a .30 cal to .308 cal conversion on a M1 Carbine.I can do so of the work but was looking for someone to do the bulk of it.My former gunsmith moved out of state and I due these kind of projects a couple times a year.Any suggestions would be great.

i will second that, I was there yesterday having my 7/08 worked on. Tim and Bill are great to deal with. He has built 2 custom rifles for me and worked on 3 1911 pistols for me as well his work is outstanding.

m1 carbine converted to 308 winchester are you sure you typed that right if it has been done have you seen it maybe im just reading it wrong

I would suspect an M1 Garand would be more appropriate ... :thinking:

lol My mistake, I was hadling a m1 30 cal earlier.What I meant to say is a 30-06 garand copnverted to 308.

that sounds better had me worried pretty easy to do can put a chamber bushing in and it does ok military did this alot best to just buy a 308 barrel from kreiger are another barrel maker and install barrel will come short chambered so barrel can be timed
