What's your most accurate powder charge for these. Going down a 16in barrel.


Just placed an order from high tech ammo in hopes of having some 223 loaded by the 18th. Just wanting to start with what works for y'all and hope it works for me to save time in working a load up.

My go to load for that bullet is 26 grs Varget. Just loaded up 300 yesterday for the 18th ... I shoot them from a Bushmaster 16" ... Have used CCI 400, WW, and CCI 41 primers .. Did not notice any difference in primer selection.

It all depends on what your gun likes..
My best load was with H335 and a 55gr Vmax.. Havent really done much testing with a 55gr FMJBT.
