i fired my 91/30 for the first time today. I noticed after about 10 rounds the portion of wood on top the barrel seems to slide foward. The rings seem to be tight but it still slides toward the business end of the gun. I can easily slide it back but I was wondering is that normal?

it happens , alittle tape can fix that

All of the ones I have shot did pretty well at the range
