Yup, got the weapons permit today, took 45 days exactly. Dang photo even looks nice :p

Guess the sleek little Taurus .380 will have to do for now, but going to gun show tomorrow so who knows. Really like to find a Smith 3913 or CS9. Also still looking for a deal on a "J", 36, 37, 637, something with a hammer. Think I may try a Kel Tec PF-9, can't go too far wrong for under $300.

So many choices...

2 rules of a gun fight

1. Have a gun
2. It must go bang every time....

no jams...no Oh sh!t I left one out of the pipe..

I'd highly recommend a hammerless s&w J frame for carry...course it aint all that much fun to shoot

Understand the practical side to the hammerless, just can't warm up to the "humpbacks". If I find myself toting a "J" regular I will probably get a 642 or something. Another reason to get something new :2tup:

I'd like to highly recommend dry fire practice...if you are gonna "carry" you owe to yourself and to those innocents around you to be as proficient as you can be....

Take some training with Cliff Cargill...He's a fantastic instructor....highly recommended....

send him a pm

Not only is he a great shooter....but He can teach it and that's a fairly rare combination.

strap that carry piece on at the house and wear it continually and soon it will be 2nd nature to ya...just like putting your pants on.

hammerless...nothing to snag on clothing

double action only....none of this cocking the hammer back BS...like you see on TV...hard enough to be safe in a pocket...yet easy enough to shoot well...it only goes bang if you pull that trigger...no safety to mess with or remember to disengage.....most engagements happen very quickly...just happens to be my favorite...may not be the best for everyone...

enjoy carrying there shoe

Madison one recently remodeled, no firearms now, usually have some ammo though. I occasionally go to the Office Depot in Pearl and stopped in next door at that Walmart once. Interesting experience! Would have felt much better with something in my pocket besides keys and some loose change. :lol4: Apologies to anyone from Pearl, hey you do have Bass Pro & Great Southern Firearms, and a darn nice Ballpark.
