I have a 4x8 face photo but do i need to get a wallet sized photo? I have looked all over the sight for dimensions and dont want to show up with the wrong photo needed because it is a looong drive... Anyone with any insight into this?

Passport photo for about $7 bucks is the safe route. When I got my permit the lady ahead of me (yeah, a woman , wish more would do it) had a 5 X 7. The clerk cut her head out and made it more or less fit the box. Of course, the one you get may not be as creative or helpful. I'd spend the $$$.

Do you have The Print Shop on your hard drive?

I have Permit Picture Grid that I have used for myself and others for their CCW application.

Take a few digital pictures, paste and size to the grid, print out on glossy paper, select which one you want, cut it out and there you go.

My wife did mine in one of her photo shops.

The applicant must have a photograph attached to the application. The photograph should form a pose straight forward and should not drop below the level of the breast-line. The photograph may be black and white or color, but must be of such quality as to make all facial features readily discernible.

I took my own with a tripod and digital camera and printed it on my PC printer on photo paper.

I cut it the size of the block on the form (more or less).

I just stopped at Walgreens after going to the bank to get the money and have stuff notarized. I could've done it myself, but that's too much trouble for a simple little picture.

Passport photo. Quick easy cheap and you know it's right bc it's what they tell you.

I agree with the above suggestions, get a passport photo. Would be a shame to waste all that time trying to get paperwork turned in and be told your photo isn't up to snuff.

I just had a passport type photo taken ... If I remember correctly, they also photographed me at the Hwy Patrol when I was fingerprinted ... AND, my permit showed up with my OLD driver's license picture on it!! GO FIGURE!!

Just don't know why they just can't use the driver's license photo and not require all the other!! The GOVERNMENT!!

Whats wild is that the picture on my FP is the one they took there, but the info on it is from my DL, like height, weight, etc. I haven't weighed 150 since I was in high school. lol

I went to sams club 4.98 for two passport photos. I was in and out of the highway patrol in under and hour. Just will be waiting for it to come in the mail....

Back when I got mine I went to walmart. When I went to get my permit at the Highway Patrol office they took my picture there.
