More "free" ICU stuff

Wife has been up at St. D the last week. Got two stints (runs in the family like cancer does in mine). Anyway, they had a nice digital thermometer just for her. When she left, they started decon'ing the room. When they got to the stuff they were using for her only. She asked for the it and they said sure, it was going in the trash.
Anyway, I guess it was free and $40K (going from past experience) at the same time.

I hope your wife is doing well.

I hope I do not have the opportunity to get items from after a family members surgery any time soon but I will be looking out when the time comes.

Sid, I have the same problem. A doctor friend in Texas told me to take Lecithin. He told me to take 1200mg 2 times a day. Its for nerve health but is has a side effect. It gets rid of fat in arteries. My colesterol was 205 when I started this, It is now 102. I told my heart doctor what I was doing and he said he didn't know about it but keep it uo. CVS has bottles of 250 for 9 bucks and its buy 1 get one free. Wally world has the 400 for 8 bucks so CVS is the best deal. These days docs want to give you lots of high dollor drugs that don't work, but I found this works.

I have a bunch too from my sons stay.
I had several bills with Baptist, they wouldn't roll it all into one. They charged 18% interest. Got behind on one and they sent it to collections. I went over to talk to the collection place to arrange a schedule. I asked them what interest rate they charged and they said none. Last nickle Baptist ever got from me. Didn't want to stiff them but it was going to cost me an extra 10 years to pay them off versus the collection agency. If we'd gone in for plastic surgury or something elective, I could see it but no one goes there unless they have to. Charging that 18% was way too high for me for a hospital that has a Religious name on it.

What God wants for us only He knows, we just have to live with it and live out lives like He would want us.
Amen! Romans 8:28 "All things work for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose." Couldn't have said it better myself!
