Does anyone know what a mossberg model500 12 ga bolt action would be sell for?

I've never seen a 500 in a bolt action. Mossberg has the 695 in a bolt gun that would probably run $200-$300 depending on condition and how it was equipped.

it belongs to my father in law. he said he thought it was a 500. its an older gun he looking to sell it but didnt know what to ask for it.

If it's an older model, it could be one of several models. See if you can find the actual model number and if not here's a link to a good resource for comparison. Do you know if it's single shot, etc?

BTW, from what I've seen, a lot of the older guns like that go for anywhere from $100-$150 depending on condition. I have one in 410 and like it.

One in very good condition just sold for $108.00 on auctionarms.com. Judging from the pics from the auction, it looked to be in very good condition, with what appears to be a Poly choke. Bolt action, clip fed.

According to the Blue Book of Gun Values, Mossberg made several models of bolt action shotguns. All are priced about the same regardless of model. The book shows a model 190D and rates them at Poor $35, Fair $65, Good $90, Very Good $125 and Excellent $150.

I owned one (Bought for me by my father at Western Auto) back in the late 70's. New then it was about 80 dollars. It was a Mossberg 12 Ga, bolt with Poly Choke. Not sure which model.
