The are a lot better choices for self defense ammo in the .38 snub. Gold Dots designed for the snub nose have a good reputation-the Winchester JHP are sold at walmart for a reason.

.380's have a poor reputation for reliability and stopping power. anything less than .380 is for the other guy to carry.

I've carried a North American, still do and its FMJ. BUG but if a guy gets close, shot placement is a given. Hit a guy 5 times, I'm ready to go 15 rounds. See how he's moving in them championship rounds. Add to that a knife and you got a lightweight MS 100 degree, 110% humidity carry set up.
Sure I'll take a warthog or other 3 1/2" .45 when I get confident a .45 will consistantly cycle in 3 1/2" 's.

Yeah, I'd like to see the results with a legit +p .38 round. I like the Buffalo Bore loads.

Yeah, I got a Kahr CW40 I carry from time to time. Love it. Kind of picky, if one won't eat everything it's fed, I keep looking if the family is involved.

That lawyer write up was a good read, learned a few things I didn't already know. When the DA, Judge and LEO's get paid out of the same pocket, they don't like anyone else get a cut.
