Got my American Express bill and there was a $800.00+ charge to CMP on it! Reminded me that Shoeshooter and I went over to Anniston on 1/22 and I picked up two more of the Rusty Kimbers -- 1 for a buddy and another to put in safe for the grandson (one day!). Went to the hall closet (where I put it when I got home because the box was too big in fit in the safe) .. forget about it until now!! I am beginning to worry about what else I have forgotten!!

Well here she is ..... of course, I let my buddy have the best looking one! When we went over, there were only about 20 or so to pick from ... Almost all of them had the famous razor cut on the stock. The few that did not actually had some rust on them - not much but more than I am use to seeing. I did manage to find one with a slight razor cut that looked pristine (buddy got that one)! The other had a little surface rust on the extractors that will wipe away very easily. The one I kept does have the famous razor cut ... should not be too hard to sand out and refinish ...

I'm a non-violent kinda guy...don't even hunt...but every time I even THINK about those razor cuts on that beautiful walnut I get riled-up. Want to kick some idiots butt till it pokes out his mouth.

Should clean-up nice...and we know it'll shoot. :thumbup:

What's the story on the razor cuts?

I'm not familiar with the cause. Was it malicious or just a normal idiot with a box cutter?

Grandson is lucky to have a Granddad like you. Mine passed away before being able to do anything like that for me, but I am available for adoption by any Grandfather that'll have me. Those are some very nice guns. They look like every component is absolutely top notch.

The razor cut came from an "inventory" that was done while they were still in military hands. They were opened a little carelessly!

And, yes, Captain, we know they shoot!
